ok great thanks for the info i was reading that declawing was really bad for the cat and really expensive so that is one of the reasons i decided not to do it i will try these caps and see how they work i know cats scratch but i don't want them scratching my kids up i can deal with it if they do it to me but my kids are only 3 and 2 and 6 and my 6 year old is autistic he loves the kitties is really good with them but they scratch him and it takes me forever to calm him down

I opted to have my cats claws removed by laser.  It's more expensive, but more not as painful on the cat.

A lot of people use it with success. Others don't have success with it. I would be careful and monitor the kitties' claws often (once a day each day, for example) when you put the caps on. In some cases, the caps prevent the claws from going outward and instead, they grow inward, making it painful for the cat and thus leading to emergency surgery.  So make sure you don't keep the kitties claws covered for too long and take off the caps at least once a month for a week. They need to scratch to get rid of dead tissue since they grow new claws periodically.

The fun thing about it is you can paint the little caps pink for the girls and blue for the boys and do a little manicure on them. It looks really cute.

I declawed both my cats. No regrets.

Good Luck!
