well the oddball that is my venus is at it again.

so i never thought animals got jealous of humans. well.....venus does. she gets SUPER jealous and she's stingy. if greg or i give the boys ANY attention. holding them, hugging them kissing them, playing with them...she gets IN OUR FACES yowling at us. so then we have to pet and love her RIGHT NOW! if the boys are playing with their toys basket she jumps into the toy basket and swats their hands away and "claims it' as her own. if they play with her toys, cat house or anything that is venus's property...oh that is a big baby NO NO! she goes to what they're playing with...takes it off of them and hides it in HER house. if they play with her scratch mat she lays on it so they can't. if they play with her cat house (it's a collapsable fold up one) she gets in it so they can't. she's so ridiculously jealous it's not even funny!!! she's so rotten! she still randomly attacks me. last night i didn't know she snuck into the nursery when i was getting their 3 am bottle and hid under eli's crib. yeah she scared the pee right out of me. i was changing his diaper and WHAM!!! she latched onto my leg. i think i woke up all my neighbors when i screamed. greg came running in and saw me on the floor trying to get her. i honestly thing the evil fur ball was laughing at me and smiling!!!! *sigh* can animals be possessed? if so i think she is at times.

i don't know why we keep buying her toys. either she plays with the boys toys or she finds something around the house that she's not supposed to have.

i think i am. i'm gonna write a book about my fat psycho kitty.

so the crazy kitty has a new fetish. the bathtub drain thingy. you know the part in the bottom of the tub that catches the hair? yeah she actually was able to pry it OFF of the tub and carries it around the house with her. i've found it in dh and i's bed, eli's crib, brett's crib, in my kitchen sink, IN MY COFFEE POT!!! (i have no freakin clue how she got it in there) and in my laundry. and she is stalking me. not just following me...stalking me. her favorite new hiding spot...under my counter in my tuperware. the door broke so dh took the front of it off till we get a new one she climbs in there SITS IN my tuperware bowls and when i'm standing at the sink doing whatever she lounges out at me! i'm thinking about writing a book about her. i should. lol. with all the crazy things she does it'd be a best seller. lol.

my vet did the same thing. he said since we don't have papers on her that he can only register her as a dml even though she's a main coon. her mother is a main coon and the father is a main coon from the neigboring farm (we think momma and poppa were litter mates) and they have had a few litters together. what we figure is the 2 of them were dumped off on the road by the 2  farms (ours and the neighbors) got split up and obviously found each other again. venus "little sister" sheila...looks like a mini venus clone. fortunately for my mother (sheilas "mommy") sheila is a little angel. the perfect, loving kitty. not an evil bone in her fuzzy little body. unlike satans spawn that i got. lol.

Heather, Venus is gorgeous! My kitten looks a lot like her. The vets at the shelter said he was a Maine Coon Mix. The vets at, well, the vet's office say he is, in fact, a MCM but they wanted to go ahead and register him as a Domestic Long hair. He looks a lot...a lot like your cat.

My cat "Mouse" does the same thing. He also "plucks" at you which is really.... really... irritating.

I keep searching for an "off switch" some where, but have had no success. *sigh*

Hey there, just saw your post and thought "oh goody goody, more Venus stories," LOL...

Sounds like there's never a dull moment with Venus around.  

Our cat is not nearly so colorful, however, she does get jealous when hubby or I are talking with someone else.  She will stand right in the middle.  I have a neighbor who's afraid of cats!?!?  We were talking over a low fence when suddenly, Jade jumps up between us...I thought my neighbor would pet her, but instead, she screamed!  Said she thought Jade was going to JUMP on her, lol.  Like.....oh shoot, don't know how to type the right sound, but something like you would see in a cartoon. Hahahahaha
