Hello dorypoppy,
I'm not sure what the brownish liquid could be, but I agree with opus88
that your kitty may need to have antibiotics if this is being caused by
a URI. I always think it's always better to check with a vet especially
considering your 10 year old kitty has been sick with a cold for a week.
I hope your vet is helpful in providing you with some answers and that
your kitty feels better soon.
Hello opus88,
Good advice to dorrypoppy. I agree with you. If it is an URI (upper respiratory infection) dorrypoppy would be advised to take his kitty
to his vet to see if his furbaby is in need of antibiotic and to find out
from the vet what the brownish liquid from his cat's eye is. .
what cold symptoms did she have? like congested, crusty eyes, lack of appetite etc? did she get over those alright or do they still persist?
the dark discharge in itself isn't worrisome unless she has an URI than she may need an antibiotic... if the cold/flu like symptoms still exist I can suggest some supplements.
