1st NL appt for my DD

This afternoon I'll be taking my 16 yr old to her 1st NL appt. She has been having her vision black out if she gets up too quickly or if her hands are above her head too long. Our PCP did bloodwork and all was normal, so since I have Chiari 1, she is having us go this route.

Just got the results of my DD Brain MRI. As best as I can read the report everything is normal. I haven't gotten the chance to look at the cd. But I guess we can rule out Chiari for her.

Monday she sees a Cardio Dr.

Hoping to at least get a dx, before my surgery, 34 days till April 6th.

We don't know if she has chiari or if it is something else

I did make sure to tell the NL that I have Chiari so that he knows it is a possibility

Guess we will find out after the MRI

  Does she have those symptoms?....hmmm first time I heard that one associated with a chiari patient.....

Thanks for the support!

NL has set us up for a Brain MRI and a Cardio consult.
Wants us to increase her salt and fluid intake.
He was talking about possibly Steal Syndrome.

Please keep us posted as this could be something other then chiari...thoracic outlet syndrome is one that u can not lift ur arms over ur head with out an issue ....so, try to keep an open mind and lets all hope for the best : )
