Yeah, I think you are borrowing trouble at this point! You don't know if you have CM, and even if you do, that doesn't mean you need brain surgery. I have a big herniation and was diagnosed a few years ago and haven't had surgery. I wouldn't worry about it till you've seen a NS and he tells you that you are a surgical case.
Yes I know it is major surgery. I've just heard that some patient's undergoing brain surgery are consciously sedated so that they can respond to certain commands to make sure that certain nerves have not been damaged. Don't mean to ask a stupid question. I don't even know yet if I have CM. I just strongly suspect that I do. Will find out something April 20. I've never had general anesthesia,so guess I'm a little concerned. Would some mind sharing their experience? Might just be borrowing trouble.
Hi...may I ask what r u getting at?...what do u mean?....this is a major surgery so u r put under general anesthesia .....on oxygen and monitored.
If u have allergies or issues with meds ur drs will take all that into advisement prior to surgery.
