Hi...not sure I am following u completely...do u mean this is a post op issue?
I know post op we r not to sleep on our stomach, something I never could do b4 as it use to bother my neck....
I was told to lay on my side, but my issue with this is my hip and shoulder joints pop in and out of joint.,..which really hurts, so I have a small lumbar pillow I put behind me and I half lay on my side and my back so the pressure is not concentrated on my side and the pillow behind me keeps me from rolling and in the position that is better....it also allows my head to be putting pressure on that space just behind the ear and that helps too.
So I start by laying on my side, pull the lumbar pillow up behind me then relax onto that lumbar pillow...to me it is comfy and helps : )
Yes its a post op issue. Im sure its from layin on it always lol. Thanls for the tip. Im gonna try it :)
I've tried 2 time to sleep in the bed (side sleeper) and I wake up hurting....so I am still on the recliner....I am no help
For the first 3 to 4 weeks post op I slept in the recliner too....and that did help me as I could not be flat....
U go from a hospital bed to a reg bed and it is too drastic a change....was for me....so the recliner helped.
