Brain MRI Abnormal - Need Answers

I am trying to find out answers for my recent MRI scan of my head. I have been going through my images and found this image that looks abnormal. There is not a mention of it on the radiology report. I am asking if anyone can please take the time to help me figure this out. Here is the image link: http://www.medhelp.org/user_photos/show/481902

I look forward to anyone that can help me with this and thank you in advance!

Do you have the report from the MRI?  You should be able to call the imaging place and go pick a report up ......

It is pretty common for a fall or MVA to trigger symptoms to flare...and as Lisa mentioned we r not experienced or educated to DX u from ur MRI....we can share what we have learned along the way...and finding a well informed and experienced Chiari specialist is key.

Also knowing what they should be ruling out...EDS, ICP, POTS, sleep apnea, syringomyelia, CCI, it is very important for these to be ruled out as they can affect how u feel and heal post op.

You need to talk with your Dr., and possibly a NS. You may also get a copy of the written report as well. It will include a summary or conclusion of the findings at the end. If after that you have unanswered questions or concerns regarding the reading of your films you can ask for a second opinion or another radiology reading. This is something that is best for Dr's (granted those experienced with this) and radiologists to diagnose Good luck to you. Lisa

I was diagnosed with chiari malformation, but it also looks as my brain above the cerebellum is also herniating downward. I was wondering about that. I am worried about differing diagnoses and making sure it is not a CSF leak. I am not too knowledgeable about things but I saw the above picture and I see brain on one side and not on the other in the back? My current neurosurgeon is giving me the run around but it is all I have till I move to another state. He wants to wait. My symptoms are very bad and I want this taken care of.

I have migraines. I have burning in my feet, back, and down my arms. Numbness and tingling in my extremities. I have a feeling of being strangled or suffocated. I had tremors in my left hand and spasms down my spine for a while. I rest all day long because I feel I am going to pass out when I stand so some things haven't happened in a while. I have had blackouts but not frequently maybe once every year or so, but I limit my activities greatly. I avoid standing for any length of time because of feeling like passing out.

I received an MRI after I had a small accident involving falling which caused my symptoms to intensify. I went to the ER 3 or 4 times and thought I was dying.

Thank you Selma, I have been reading all you have been posting and I see you are a great help to everyone here. I haven't been feeling well enough to drag my butt to the computer to post much.

I wish I could help u, but I am not a medical professional and am not familiar with that view u posted.....

If it had been a sagital view I may have been able to offer some insight...

May I ask what symptoms u r having that u had a brain MRI?
