Thanks so much for your input. Can you direct Carolyn to me when she gets back? I will work on the MRI.

Well when Carolyn gets back from holiday....it may be beneficial  to speak to another person that had surgery in Canada....she may be able to help direct u better than I as I am  not familiar with the ins and outs up there. If u can  get a MRI that would be helpful.....and I know it may take time to get that done.....

Thanks...I am sure Molly is doing better each day....

I had my first surgery in Canada. I don't have insurance to go to him. not sure what a surgery would cost with him. I was really trying to stay in Canada if possible. The nurse said no paper work unless you are a patient so I can't go back on him for anything. I did ask if he knew of anyone up here that I should look at so I'm waiting for a phone call back.

I was thinking I should ask my dr for a more up to date MRI. Last one was dec.2009. It is a bit of a wait for one.

I hope Molly makes out ok. Send her best wishes for a speedy recovery. Do you think I should ask for anything else?

Well she just had a third surgery as she had a leak from the fix of the prolapse.....I think she is still in the hospital.....Dr Heffez fixed Molly's slump, and now the leak......she was not his orig patient either.....

May I ask where did u go originally?.....somewhere in Canada? it may be more the fact u r from out of the country than nething else.....I would ask him how u get to be a patient and get the paperwork done if that is where u want to go.

I never had anything other than a really bad headache b4 the surgery. You are right this is worse. When did Molly have her surgery and if possible can you get her to talk to me? Now I need to prove this to my internal medicine dr as I don't want to go back to the same NS. I got the feeling from him that he didn't know a great deal about this.
I'm thinking a MRI is needed again. No after care has been done. Dr Heffez won't give me any paper work saying this because I'm not a patient of his. I got all this information in a phone call.

Please help me figure the next step......

Sometimes the pain from a brain slump or prolapse can be as bad if not worse than u had b4 surgery....which is not what u want.....am I right?

I know from Molly she was doing worse after surgery...she was having more pain and it seemed to increase.....
