Chiari on a TV show

A family member who is a nurse called my father to tell him she had seen mystery diagnosis on discovery health and they had chiari on it, with Dr B. I found it on the web and wanted to post it on here.  The girl on the show doesn't have all the symptoms most of us on here have, but still they go thru the doctors like water just like most of us do so I know we can all relate so I wanted to share the link. www.chiaritvspecial.com  it does show that you may have to go thru some doctors but there are good ones out there, find a chiari specialist and your world can change. That was me at the chiro (but not to see the chiro) My massage therapist is in the same office. LOL... My neuro told me massage is good chiro is not. He didn't say I couldn't have chiro specifically because of chiari but because he has seen where chiro causes strokes. Hmmm I found that interesting. He said chiro ok for lower back only. No neck stuff...

I actually had other dr.s say chiro was ok but I chose not to do it anymore and now that my surgeon said not to I won't.

thats not me at the chiro man !!!   me on the couch - yes, me on the computer- yes, me at the restraunt- yes, me at a sale- yes,  me at the chiro - no. LOL.  anyway.  but yes I agree with you. I was going to ask my pcm for some physcial therapy because I am getting so weak, but my dh advised me to hang tight until I got the word from all the test and a chiari specialist  because even certain pt can cause damage so I am in a holding pattern for now.

My wife was watching that episode and as soon as they started giving symptoms, she was like, "Hey! He has Chiari. Then a few minutes later, my stepson came in and watched the TV for a few seconds and said, "Doesn't he have what Shane has?"

Peachy, you might wanna stay away from Chiropractors and massages - both can be very bad for Chairi and Syringomyelia patients.

Thanks for the link...Several months ago when I was in the chiropractors office (I wasn't seeing him I was there for a massage) he came over and told me he saw the last part of a special about chiari on discovery. I wonder if it was the same special.
