pain

ok I have a cavity in my back tooth that has never bothered me and I am just waiting to get into the dentist.   Today the pain has been triple and this cavity is killing me ontop of the pain.    I can't tell if the pressure is causing thqat pain or that pain causing the other pain.

any info on this topic would help  have any of you ever noticed other pain being made worse by the pressure?

I am trying not to go to the ER as it is flu season and I am sure me or one of my family members would come back with more then we went with.

Perhaps it would be easier to to just wrap your head really good in the stuff. Well, you may need to cut out eye, nose and mouth holes.... Yeah and to complement your door ways you could use different colors of those.... oh shoot forgot what you call em but those jello block things. They'd be real purty and if the door still gets mad and hits you too hard you could just eat it!

Yeah  my doc checked for TMJ also since this all started with a car wreck  and  that is common to see post whiplash  and  they ruled it out as well.     I am going to buy some bubble wrap  and  pad myself up real good or maybe I should do all the doors and door ways and furniture  and  steps  and  children  and  the car roof as I hit my head all the time putting my kids in darn ceiling gets gets lower every time I go to put them in I swear.  i want to live in a bubble wrap house  LOL.

for now though I am just going to keep ice packs and heating pads in each room to be able to grab quickly  LOL

Angie,

I had my dentist check me for TMJD and I did not have it....it seems to be something we all get.....I even stick my tounge out btwn my teeth to try to remember not to clench....well the hypersensitivity is due to the chiari for sure...the compression on the brain stem affects out emotions and balance too!!

YES    that is what it feels like  like I have been clenching my jaw all day.   The tooth with the cavity isn't even where it hurts  it is my jaw itself.     I have an appointment to get it fixed   but it isn't even a bad cavity.     I am supper sensitive to all pain  I ran into the door frame  which  isnt anything new to me  I am a clutz and I mis judge all distance.  It felt like I broke my arm which I obviously did not.

Lizzy I hope you feel better soon I hate to imagine anyone in pain.

Lizzy,

I also know to well the jaw pain....the first time I noticed it, I thought I must be clentching my jaw for it to feel like this.......and there were times i would wake up and it felt like I proped my whole body up by my chin,,......just awful pain.

I have not noticed it since my surgery.....

Hope u feel better soon : )

HI Angie...I have to agree with Lizzy and not go to the ER for this, try and relax with some heat and see if it goes away...or at least clams down.

I do believe that tooth pain could affect ur HA's and vice versa.....U may want to see about going to the dentist and at least get that taken care of so in case it is the tooth affecting ur HA's if u relieve it u can calm the two at once : )

the pressure always seems to make whatever is ailing me just a little bit worse.  my jaws have been SCREAMING at me the past few days.  while it is painful, it is something that i know will go away soon and i don't want to spend the money on  a trip to the er where i know they will do nothing for me!  try and hang in for a day or two more....it might just let up on it's own!  try some advil and heat and see if that helps you any.
