Hi deadmemory...one question for u as u r walking on the treadmill.i tried too in the gym,but i realized i really have to take care of my steps as i tend to not walk straight.is this balance related?and after getting of the machine i feel strange in my legs as if i would still be walking.do u experience that too?i need at least 5 min to be able to walk normal again, well almost normal.nice greetings
I have found that walking on my treadmill for anywhere from a half an hour to an hour 5 days per week plus eating a raw organic diet and living a vegan inspired lifestyle has helped me tremendously. I reversed my fatty liver infiltration and have had no symptoms of diverticulosis and have lost 11 lbs in less than 1 month. I know having gait issues due to chiari or other neurological issues makes exercise much more difficult and somewhat painful but if you don't over do it you should be fine.
I also take a multivitamin, omega 3, and echinacea in the morning after breakfast then a vitamin c, vitamin b12, and calcium plus vitamin d after dinner in the evening. I do drink coffee in the morning but the rest of the day I drink a lot of water plus a few oz of POM wonderful pomegranate juice. DON'T FORGET TO EAT BREAKFAST EVERY DAY TOO!!! I always skipped out on breakfast until recently and you won't believe the difference it makes just eating breakfast!!!
I am so happy with my new founded energy during the day, although I do suffer with pain from Chiari and other conditions. I do have to watch myself sometimes walking on my treadmill cause I find myself starting to walk sideways!! LOL.
Take care!!!!
Krystal,
PS I am definitely not preaching, I know how I feel now (way happier) and I want to share it with other people :)
Hi...next week I will get back to our daily threads, but we have one for Wednesdays that deals with exercise for those with limited mobility...meaning we lose our balance, get dizzy etc... do look at that thread and start at the beginning, and build up when ur body is ready to move to the next set of exercises....walking is best, swimming is great, and riding a recumbent bike if u have access is wonderful as it offers support where we need it.
