Food - No taste..?

SG2
I have this weird thing the past cpl days, food has almost literally no taste.  On top of that, my tongue feels as if it's numb.  Not numb like novocaine feeling, just like I don't feel like I have much sensation on it, or my lips or actually the entire left side of my head.

I know the feeling of the tongue.  I had my NS tell me that it was nerve damage :(   I had surgery almost 2 yrs ago and I still have flare ups.  It feels as though my tongue is numb and the roof of the mouth gets a raw feeling.  I try to avoid some things when this happens.  I wish I had answers for you.  I haven't had any one else say anything about having this.  It is weird, but something I just trying to get used to.  Best of luck.
Linda :)

Sue, I had some issues with taste post op...I found that some things I liked pre op I no longer like the taste of....

and I did have some things that were just blah....no taste......and I didn't feel like taking the effort to chew it...lol...

I do know there is nothing off limits as to what can be affected.
