Gabapentin

Has anyone else taken Gabapentin for all of these pains neuralgia migraines? I'm petrified to take this drug because of all the bad side affects! Did it help or harm anyone? Or should I wait to see the NS first before I take it?

I was on it for 2 years and I am strongly considering getting back on it. There werent any side effects for me, except relief !

I am on it for overall neuralgia and it helps so much couldn't imagine not using it. It calms my nerve pain alot. The only small side effect is a little weight gain but I verytime it is worth it.

I've been on it for over a year and the only thing it does is put me to sleep. I see my nl Friday and am asking for something dif. It may help u for we r all dif. Ask your dr and see. It didn't do no harm for me tho

  Hi...yes I did, and if u have IBS, it can affect those issues as it did mine and did nothing else for me.....

I have heard that some got results, but that they wore off in a short time...so if u get some relief that would be great : )

I took it for several yr, at a very minimal dose, no side effects.  I think it was effective.  My NS wanted me to go off of it, so I did.
You probably want to see what the NS says.
