Good news....and a bummer

The good news is that my digestive system finally woke up & is behaving normally.  I'm starting to eat meals, even though the portions are small.  I can't eat meat, but maybe this is due to the bovine patch in my head, lol.
I'm just taking a few ibuprofen/day.

The bummer--well 2 actually-- is that a crown fell out, probably from all the gum I was chewing for nausea. The last thing I feel like doing is going to the dentist!  A nuisance really, in the scheme of things.

More importantly, I'll probably have to have surgery on my foot; the 2nd toe is migrating toward the first 1.  Surgery is the only treatment, & the longer it's delayed, the more difficult it is to correct.  I have 5 female first cousins--that I know of--plus my daughter, who all have foot deformities.  Why this is happening to me now is a mystery.  It certainly came on rather suddenly, shortly before the Chiari surgery.

Hi, I am sure ur dentist can accommodate u very well...I went not too long post op for a cleaning I told them about my surgery and my scar and they took their time and if I need to adjust my head I let them know, it was not as bad as it seemed in my mind that it might be....and if u feel ur head is sore, wait a little longer to go...but talk to ur dentist he may be able to help u out in ways  u do not know.

Sorry about ur foot, I had 2 surgeries b4 my PFD one on my knee and one on my ankle...so I know how u feel....u get tired of surgery for sure.....

Thanks for getting my jokes--I'm married to someone who does not.  Can you believe it?

Let's add boob lift to the list (and any other enhancements for others).
I'd like my teeth whitened too; that hurts.

Oh how I have missed your humorus side!!! Cant eat meat because of bovine patch....hope you dont start lactating and ingesting grass soon! LMBO!!!
So sorry everything is happening at once, but at least you'll be forced to rest with your feet up and your head relaxed!
Now lets see, what else can we possible add to your list....how about some ab sculpting, bun lift, spray tan, vaneers, pap smeer, mamogram, and a colonoscopy??
Think about how conveinent it would be if they could get everything done all at once....oh, but the recovery pain!!
Keep your head up Viva!

Thanks.  I will ask the dentist to make me as comfortable as possible.
I realize others have it worse than I do-- but I was also mistrusting that things were going too smoothly.  It would've been nice to go a couple weeks w/o thinking about anything else!

Well too bad I couldn't have had everything fixed while I was anesthetised--Chiari, the deviated septum, the freaky feet, a little liposuction, some dermabrasion, corrective eye surgery, laser hair removal.  What else?

Maybe we should have a surgical wish list.

Sorry to hear about your crown,  when going to the dentist I told mine about my chairi and they were kind enough to get me a soft pillow to lay back on.  So do ask it did make the appt go by more easily.  As for the toe.  I also have a cousin that had to have this surgery and the recovery wasn't that bad.  It's probably a good time that this happened now because you are recovering anyway.  This way everything can heal at the same time and when you are done healing everything will be in order.  Better days ahead for you my chairian friend.
Linda :)
