Has anyone been to or heard of Dr. Violette Recinos @ Cleveland Clinic?

Some of Her specialities include: "Cavernous Malformation , Chiari Decompression, Chiari Malformation, Craniofacial Reconstruction, Craniosynostosis, Craniosynostosis, Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor (DNET), Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy, Ependymomas, Epilepsy Surgery In Children, Epilepsy Surgery, Ewing's Sarcomam, Glioblastoma Multiforme, Intraventricular Tumor, Meningioma, Pediatric Brain Tumors, Pediatric Cavernomas, Pediatric Cranioplasty, Pediatric Hydrocephalus, Spina Bifida, Spinal Cord Untethering, surgery For Spinal Tumors, Tethered Cord, Ventricular Shunt Insertion".

I hope she is good and I am not back at square one. She is who Dr. Di referred me to. He did say that if she or anyone else is unwilling to do the surgeries and do not understand his notes (can't read them) he would be willing to speak with them directly, but I don't know how that will be seeing as though he is not assoc with CC anymore. I hope he is able to speak with her though. If not I will have to wait for him to settle in somewhere. I just hope it is soon. (for the tethered cord and for the cerebellar ptosis).  I can't ever afford to go to the chiari institute. I can only afford to stay here in Ohio or very close by.

p.s.She seems to be new to Cleveland. I was reading further yesterday and the last thing she has listed in her studies is residency at John Hopkins in Maryland in 2010. So she must be new this year. I guess by the specialities she has listed that is why Dr. Di referred me to her. I hope she is willing to do the surgery or both surgeries. I will let you all know how the appt goes. It is January 11th.  I was told that she does pediatrics every day except Tuesdays. On Tuesdays she sees adults.

hey. i have had her before. she performed surgery on me. i am a peds patient and she is amazing. he staff is great and she really cares about her patients. once again i say she is an amazing doctor and i am thankful to have been referred to her.  she takes special care of her patients. she took the time before my surgery to braid out part of my hair so it would cover my incision. she is a great doctor and anyone would be lucky to have her.

I see Dr. Luciano at the CC, he hired and trained Dr. Di and also does the surgery endoscopically. I don't know about Dr. Recinos personally, but I heard she's good. :)

Thanks, I will let you all know. I can't wait for this appt but yet I am skeptical because scared it will be a big waste of time and she will be like Dr. Benzel there, but who knows...she may not be. Maybe that is why Dr. Di had me go to her - he prob read Dr. Benzels notes and didn't want me to be back at square one again, in which would be wonderful of Dr. Di if that is what he was trying to prevent;.
