Hyper sensitive to noises...OUCH! SOLUTION!!!!!!

I have been hypersensitive to loud noise and certain frequencies (like a whistle....AGONY!!)  I also work in a loud bar, by the end of the night I feel awful!!  I started wearing a "snow bunny" out fit so I could wear earmuffs.  Then, someone told me to try the earplugs for swimmers that are like a clear putty that I can put over top of my ear.  I can't put earplugs in my ears, it hurts too much.  I hope this helps and am interested in any other solutions.

I also had issues with noise....I just avoided places where lots of people were...it does get better post op and  with time.....

I did not try ear plugs but wish I had some while in the hospital as the staff acted like it was the middle of the day when it was the middle of the night....they were so loud....ugh....

I have the same problem.  I had custom ear plugs made. Most days, they hurt too much, even though they are supposed to be a perfect fit. I put ice packs at night for the pain over my ears. The noise is something I haven't figured out yet. :/
Sorry I couldn't be any help.
