I have only flown twice in my life both was prior to my surgery in 2008 we went to the carribian and that is about a three hour flight and I was 14 at the time first time ever flying so excited and a preaty tough kid and I just about passed out I was in so much pain on the way there in my head and ears the way home they drugged me on bennedryl and I was asleep the hole way at this time we didn't no I had chiari. The second time was last year spring break I met my parents in charlotte nc a day latter bacause I had a soccer game so I had to stay home a little longer so I was by myself and it was only a fortyfive min flight and it was so bad. We still didn't no I had chiari at this point we found out about a month later. And then last summer I was sopose to go on a mission trip to hondoras for 12 days and then I got diagnosed and my dr said before he did the surgery he didn't want me flying because of the pressures got to such a high level in the air. And aug 17 I had surgery and a long story short missed my trip LOL butbits something to think about.

Hi, I went on a flight just prior to my dx....take off was ok, but landing was hard...but , it was worse on the return flight.....we did have a layover...so try to get a direct flight.
The other issue is my leg numbness started while on the flight...not sure if that was a coincidence or not.
Where r u going?
