Head tilted to one side

It was brought to my attention that I tilt my head to one side frequently. I've done this ever since I can remember and it's very comfortable. Anyone else do this?

Yep.  Tilted to the right.  I didn't hold my head "straight" until after my surgery!  It was also brought to my attention by 1 NS that I tended to "tuck" my chin....in an effort to enlarge the space in the back of my neck so the CSF could get through....at least the little that it did pre-op!!!  Post op I don't need to do this anymore, but old habits die hard!!

This is funny to me! I went to get a passport photo at Walgreens this past weekend and after they took the picture, the lady told me that I needed to do it again because my head was so tilted that it wouldn't fit within the lines!

Not sure, I always tilted to the left and all my issues were on my left....I am sure it is related just not sure how....I also have EDS and mild instability so, it could be both for me.....

I have always tilted my head to the right side. My chiari malformation is on the right side of the cerebellum. My hairdresser always have to remind me to to hold my head in a strict vertical position........

I hold one shoulder much higher than the other.  Also, I sometimes find myself standing on 1 foot.  I figure that I just don't know where I am in space..

it could be more comfortable...it could be a number of things....all I know is I did it so much that holding my head straight made everything appear as if my head was tilted....so I would go back to what appeared straight to me...I know I still hold it a bit off kilter....this is me and I am not going to change no matter what someone else thinks or says...not sure I would know how....lol...

I noticed I do this. I did it through grade school and still do in college. Not until late in high school did I realize why my teachers were always looking at me funny.

Hi Selma!  How are you doing? Okay I hope!  I find myself tilting my head always to the right! The PT noticed me doing this and asked me why. I was like, what do you mean....I guess its more comfortable to me. She's the one who said she feels I have scoliosis and possibly eds. She has a friend who has Chiari so she understands. I am very lucky to have met her! Maybe she can get through to my pcp!

  Hi...YES !!

One of the first times I recall this being an issue I was 9 yrs old and having my school pic taken...the photographer kept coming up to me and saying look straight ahead and he would "tilt" my head and as he walked away I would slowly move my head so things appeared straight and he got mad and would come and force-ably move my head again and say I said straight....ugh...everything looked on a slant when he did that so, I guess it was that I normally held my head on a slant or crooked, but everything appeared straight...it confused me for yrs...until I got my Chiari dx things made so much more sense....

If not for this pic taking session I may not have been aware of it....lol...
