I love your poeme. It rings close to home!
Not sure what anyone else with think, but it's all MY words and, as I mentioned, I don't normally share.... writing helps me feel a little better -- atleast to get it out somehow. I'm sure others whom write know what I mean!
.... ugh! I somehow posted and wasn't done!!
The world that I see is beautiful and bright
Though through a shaded window this is my sight.
A gentle breeze in the trees and the birds are all singing
That breeze punches my face and my ears are ringing.
The sun still shines on the darkest of day
Yet for me the sun just won't go away.
It burns my eyes, blisters my skin, and fries me inside.
You want to bask, I need to hide.
The flowers are wonderful with all of their scent.
I can't enjoy them for my smell has went.
The meadows are peaceful, tempting to frolic so
My steps are unsteady, so stumbling I go.
The mountains are glorious with peaks so high
My mountains much smaller and still I can't climb.
The waters are gleaming; so warm and so blue.
To shower is exhausting, am I getting through?
Maybe if I crawled inside your mind,
then you would listen.
And understand it's a different world that I live in.

I like writing poems as well. Used to write a little more a good 20+ years ago and then not so much. My youngest is in HS and an excellent writer and has recently inspired me to 'pick up the pen' again. I've usually kept them to myself in the past but here's something I thought I would share....
If you could crawl inside my mind
would you still be so unkind?
You'd be able to see, to hear, to feel
the World exactly the way I do.
Would it help to see from my point of view?
Or would you return to yourself and say, "I can offer you no help."
and simply walk away.
Since this isn't a way for me to prove to you,
will you listen intently while I explain it to you?
I need for you to understand, to feel, and to hear
exactly what I say, am I perfectly clear?
The world that
We have had many post a poem as a result of his poem....I am sure if u search this community u will find others...as his is very inspiring ....
The doctor Oro poem was the reason I posted mine. I liked his too. I just thought since his poem was up I might put up mine.
Well I love the poem by Dr Oro...it is perfect and I feel it explains how all of us feel and it gives hope to those still looking for a Dr that there are some out there that do indeed understand this condition.....
That's a good poem. :) And it applies to here too. :) Anyone else like writing poems? Or anyone else know a good poem that fits our lives?
Good job Selma. :) I wrote the poem around the time I took a numbers theory class (sorta) that's why I know what V with the line above means.
Here's one of my favorite Koans:
A world of dew,
and within every dewdrop a world of struggle
Issa
Buddhist call them koans! :)
Correct girl. High five. :) I like writing poems but my poems usually end up short and to the point. The irony is this is the shortest poem I ever wrote.
The poem is the sentence under the Misdiagnosis V. I told you it was short. :) giggles. The line above the V can't be put here but all I'll say about the V is it is not 5 but it is roman numerals.
I'm not sure, but I think that the one line is the poeme! I've seen that before!
Hi...sorry have no idea what u r referring to, is there is way u can show us?
