when i had my spinal headache they suggested that i drink a mountain dew really fast or even a warm coke. i couldn't stomach either of those because I do not drink soda so they had to do 3 blood patches in a matter of 5 days. that finally helped.
also, going cold turkey off of all your pain pills may have something to do with it as well. And ibuprofen for me is like sticking a needle in my eye. I get the worst rebound headaches from that. They make the headaches worst than helping with them.
Stay flat and I hope you heal. I'll say a prayer the pressure fairy comes and takes it away for you!

Hey guys. Thanks so much for the responses. Actually, I have been doing nothing except lying in the recliner. So it isnt doing too much.
I think going "cold turkey" off of the meds does have alot to do with it. I just feel yucky all over and that seems to get better each day.
And this weather. I wish it would just rain and get it over with. I think these last few days pressure outside is effecting the pressure in my head.
Thank u everyone.
Dani
Hi Dani...I also wonder what u have been doing...u may be rushing things a bit...Shannon is right...lie flat..drink plenty of water and some caffeinated drinks if it is a CSF issue this should help, but u could be having issues if u r doing way too much.
Plus if u did not step down off the meds like denverlv said that could be the issue as well.

It could be a spinal headache. Thats what i got about a week post op and when i described it as being in the front and temples they said it was a spinal headache. Most meds wont even touch it and the only thing you can do is lay flat (i mean no pillows flat) for 24 to 48 hours, other than going to the bathroom. Also, once you got home did you lay flat at least 30 min after you were up for no more than 2 hours? Shannon
I don't know anything about the pressure or anything, but did your doctor just take you off of all the pain pills without tapering down? Because if you were on that amount for that long, if you just stopped taking them that could def. cause your head to hurt! Ibuprofen makes my head/pressure worse. They always say "huh- it shouldn't" Well it DOES. Members that have more knowledge on the pressure will answer you soon :)
