The waiting game!

I finally had an MRI of my entire spine and a Cine MRI done on Tues, now I get to wait to see what the recommendation is and do I have a syrinx or csf blockage.  My next appointment is not till Nov 1st and I may not get results till then.  Is so hard to wait when you are in pain.  You would think that as long as it takes for us to get anything done they would at least let us know results when they get them.  I am so impatient with this whole process.  I just want my answers, how bad is it? and what are we gonna do about it?

I am afraid I may have tethered cord.  I saw one of the symptoms was fatty tumors on the lower back.  Which I have had for awhile I just thought it was a lipoma no big deal.  Its small but you can definitely feel it.  Will they be able to see tethered cord on a regular mri or is there a different test that is needed?  I will definitely mention it to the NS next time I go.

pam, i don't have tc, but one thing that i have heard is an ear mark for that is a dimple in your lower back....it doesn't mean that you def. have it, but it seems that a lot of people that have tc do.  and like selma said, ALWAYS request copies of all tests and xrays you have done!  you can ask for them at the time you are having them and many places will give you copies before you leave.
let us know how you make out!

Hi ...I know waiting is one of the hardest things we all have to do...but, u can request copies of the MRI and the report...did u do that?....if not call the facility that did the studies and let them know u would like them...it is one way to get acquainted with ur MRI.

The fatty tumors may be a result of Ehlers-Danlos too, so b4 u get concerned about TC...that cyst is usually not visible.....and many times TC can not be seen on a MRI and is considered to be occulta TC...meaning Hidden TC.....

Do ask about EDS too.
Sending u good vibes~~~~ to hang in there till u get the results : )
