I have lupus and get flare ups of costochondritis. It can be very painful. I hope you feel better soon.
My symptoms were/are: chest pain in the middle of the chest radiating to the left side under the breast. It feels like the chest pain one might describe with having a heart attack, hence the trip to the ER. All cardiac enzymes were normal, EKG normal, chest x-ray normal. When my GP came in, he asked about my recent physical activity (I had done yard work and house cleaning the day before because when I have a good day, I try to take advantage of it!). He also pressed on my sternum and that was VERY painful and tender. Final dx: costochondritis. Hope this helps!
I experienced the same thing about a month ago and it lasted for almost a week. They also told me to take tylenol and rest that it was that or strained muscles.
ok i jsut wondered i am having some crazy things going on and no one can seem to explain i wish i could get an answer.. hope you start feeling better. i will be praying for you
I was diagnosed with this several times . as we speak I'm in the hospital for decompression

You must be psychic! I thought of that, too. I will be asking about that at TCI.
Thanks...it's comforting to know that I'm not alone.
Not sure how common, I am aware of a few that have dealt with it tho....
Have u been tested for EDS...as that can be an underlying factor???
