cymbalta

So pcp says don't take the Gabapentin here try cymbalta? They both seem to have bad side affects!? Anyone have experiences or advice on cymbalta? Oh, and now am having a horrible pulling sensations in my throat?

i was on cymbalta for pain also and after 2 weeks discontinued use because it made me go crazy. i was moody,violent, irritable(more than usual), withdrawn. like i just didnt care. than i tried effexor xr which did the same. so now im really leary of meds. but it may work for you, just watch yourself and if you live with someone havethem keep an eye on your moods?! might help you so give it a shot

  I was never on cymbalta, but I had issues with the gabapentin...we r all different...and just bcuz the med has listed possible side effects does not mean u will have them....all u can do is try to see what works for u....if u have a reaction stop the med and call ur Dr ASAP.

A pain program I went through a few years ago put everyone on cymbalta (an anti-depressant that was found to work for chronic pain). I know that lots of people find relief with it. Personally, I was unable to tolerate it. It gave me migrane, vomiting, and non-stop crying. I only made it a few days before I stopped taking it.
