I feel that our bodies tell us when it is time for surgery. I was approached with the question. "Are you living life the way you want? The answer for me was "No". Because for the majority of us with Chairi the symptoms just get worse over time not better. This is when I decided on surgery, and I have no regrets. I did have to quit my job after all of this, but my job had a lot of lifting associate with it. Only you know when the time is right. Hoping the best for you and your decision.

I think we'd all like a drug solution.
Apparently I bought a lot of time w/ibuprofen, gabapentin, and lots of acupuncture. But it was a slow decline over several years, then a rapid decline over the last several months.
The positive aspect of a rapid decline is that you accept that you need surgery.

Hi, most meds do not help with pain from a neuro source, and this is y so many of us have had surgery. There are some meds that may work when u first start with them , or take the edge off, or like u r doing u r taking more then u should which may cause other issues...I would advise talking to ur Dr about this...and do not take more then was RX'd for u.
U may try seeing if the ADA can aid u in the lifting aspect of ur job....that way by avoiding the lifting it may help with some of ur symptoms.
