Yes stronger medications were perscribed but they make me too sick for me to take them and i do alternate with other meds.
Also, depending on the kind of surgery you had - like if you had any fusion of vertebrae - all NSAIDS are contraindicated. Make sure to follow prescribed medications at home that the doctor prescribed/ recommended.
You can take Motrin 800mg every 6-8 hours. However, if you're taking this on a regular basis for post op pain control - you need to definitely watch out for your GI tract. Motrin can cause ulcerations over time. Take it with food or a glass of milk. The doc. didn't prescribe anything else for you after chiari surgery for pain management?
i am not taking any other pain meds, and i will ask the doc. just wandering about pain managemet for the night
I agree talk to Dr. They told me not to ecceed 600 every 6 hours because everything we have been on is hard on our kidneys...depends on the meds you have been on
I personally can't take it because it is to hard on the stomach. If your taking other med's I would ask your Dr. first.
