menopause?

ok i know this is a strange question coming from me, but how early can menopause come? I went from getting my period every month no matter what for seven days fairly heavy (sorry for the detail) to missing them all together and if i do get them its like for a day and i hardly bleed like it doesn't show up in my underwear just on toliet paper (again sorry for the detail) the missing period/one day periods has been going on for maybe the last two years i thought is was all the surgeries but it hasn't ever gotten straightened out so idk anymore... any thoughts?

  The unknown is scarier then reality.....most times we make it seem worse then it really is....

I can understand that, many things get back burnered bcuz of everything else going on with Chiari, and EDS.....

And I would suggest, going to a GYN as they specialize....and we know with Chiari we need a specialist....

ive also never seen a GYN haha we've always meant to but surgeries and stuff came up, i see my pediatrician haha :)

  Hi Molly....not too early to ask...and it is something I started asking at a young age as well...as I had issues but not from the many surgeries u have had...and that still could be part of ur issue.

Once I got my premature ovarian failure DX...b4 I was 40....I found out it was due to a thyroid condition that was never seen.....not until after I got my Chiari DX at 48 did all the pieces fall into place about my Aunt Flo issues.

Look into thyroid issues like Hashimoto's as it can affect hormones as well as a pituitary gland issue....

Deff talk to ur GYN about these concerns as it may take time to get things back on track.
