Has anyone else seen patterns in 3d?

Maybe I am just crazy but this does not seem normal

This happened a while ago and thought I would throw it out there and see what everyone had to say.

3d?.....(you are going to like this one)..... I was at the airport picking up a friend and I seem to have a problem with the pattern on the floor. I was talking to her as we were waiting for her bags and out of my peripheral vision the pattern on the floor created a 3-d effect! It was crazy. from what I was seeing I could have reached out arm height and touch the floor.

It doesn’t do it when I am looking directly at it. Only when I am looking ahead. I will see it out of the side and down in my field of vision. Really hard to walk when you can’t tell if the floor is one foot below your eye or 5 foot. I have noticed patterns are hard for my brain to process but this is the first time the floor has become like the "magic eye" I loved back in the day. lol

  Hi...may I ask was the floor a checker board pattern...if it was, then yes I had a problem but didn't have a 3D issue....it was more of a distorted spacial issue. We do have peripheral vision issues as well as depth perception and these patterns do not help!

Add to that florescent lights which always made me nauseated.....

I do recall a curtain on a stage in Jr High doing the same thing u mention...if I looked at it directly it was a patterned curtain, but if I focused on a person on stage the pattern took on this different effect...very odd.

Walk into a darkened room and u lose balance too....so lights and patterns can and will affect those with chiari.
