HI Kat.....I did a little research on insurance and if u r without insurance less than 96 days b4 u sign up for another plan, u do not have the waiting time for pre exsisting conditions.
Good luck

Many with chiari also can have a related condition called Ehlers-Danlos...there r several types, but is u have the hypermobility type ur joints could be popping in and out of their sockets.....
How long since u had insurance?....if u have not been dx'd u may be fine....avoid getting a dx b4 u get coverage....but again, it also depends on how long since u had it.

I have not had decompression surgery
my neck real bad (but it just started consistently this year) and my knees have always popped. what exactly is popping and why is this common for Chiara.? and until I get the mri done I was curious if the radiologist that did the CT would be able to measure how much my Cerebullar tonsils are lying low from the CT because he didn't notate it on the report? Until we get insurance I can't have the MRI so I would just like to know this if it is possible with the CT. And I am also concerned about the possibility of "pre-exising condition" do you or anyone know if as long as I haven't been diagnosed yet if I am safe, or can an insurance company say since I have had symptoms prior to coverage it would be considered pre-existing if I am diagnosed after I get coverage??
Have you had the decompression surgery?
Many with chiari have this popping/cracking sounds.....and may be attributed to DDD...degenerative disk disease is something we al get with age, but chiarians can develop it a bit early in life.
Do u have popping with ne of ur other joints?
