Potato chips also help, so I wondering if it's not a low BP issue.
I'm treating it pretty much like morning sickness.
Have you heard of abdominal migraines? Now that is weird. That could also be what's going on.
Hi...the fact ice cream is working with ur nausea indicates u may have GERD or reflux, as ice cream or the very cold item helps...not sure y, but this has gone round the posts in the GERD forum as a way to help.
And it seems odd as dairy products can slow the LES and allow acids back up and can create more symptoms, but for some reason it does help.
U should be modifying ur diet and life style to help the meds work.
Many with Chiari also have GERD/Acid Reflux.....do at least check into this possibility.
I get nausea also. Sometimes it comes from out of the blue, and the worstis when I have a baaad headache that lasts for days. I understand the nausea from headaches but I don't get why I get it on good days out of nowhere?! Haven't tried anything for it. I even get carsick now, since my first surgery. Weird huh.? And we are driving from michigan to colorado for my surgery. That's like 20 hours stuck in car, yikes.
Nausea gets to me, too. I've had a couple of bad nights since my surgery 6 weeks ago....but Zofran seems to address it.
Ive tried several of the anti nausea medications and zofran worked the best for me depending on the headache. Some headaches or migraines I get none of the anti nausea medications work I end up sick anyway. Hope you can get some and it helps you.
