removal of vp shunt

we have been searching for a neurosurgen that will remove our daughters vp shunt. Please tell us even it is out of the usa where we can take her to be treated. No usa dr will even discuss shunt malfunction- over shunting and removal of shunt- please help.

Sorry to hear you are having problems finding someone to listen.  I have an LP shunt that I am hoping to have removed, it just makes me miserable.  I hope you can find answers and help!  -zygy

  Sorry, sometimes understanding the situation I may have better insight as to where to guide u, at this point all I can tell u is use the Drs list and call a few and ask....

I only want to know where I can find a surgeon- not discuss or explain the situation. wh I have more time I will post the reasons- to busy taking care of our daughter right now.

May I ask ask to y u want the shunt removed?

I know shunts can malfunction and they usually go in and change the setting or place a new one, depending on where the shunt is and how long it has been in place they may not want to remove it and just leave it .

Have u been to Chiari specialists?
