supposedly returning to work ugh

Gonna attempt work again. As you know i work in a shop building car gears. Way toi physical. I told my boss dont expect much from me. U only plan on stayin there til i see dr oro, only for ins reasons. Dont plan on stayin after

  Yes, that is what I meant, most places count time out regardless if they offer  paid time off as FMLA...and u would have had to fill out paperwork...at least  that is how we did it at my last place of employment.

I was HR and had to notify the employee  that the time was counting as FMLA even if it was bcuz of an emergency....so I sent things certified.

  LTD is not something u want to look into unless u have an attny....I was told I had to take mine and as soon as u do u r terminated...then I was denied...there is a new law ERISA that the GOV is involved in and to fight  being denied LTD is now a federal case and will cost more to fight then u will get and not many attnys that r versed on this law.


Talk to ur HR b4 u do a thing.

thank you, i will def check into that. i appreciate everyones info. if i do have to have another surgery its gonna go thru long term disability thru work. my short term is used up and metlife will use it as an ongoing claim. idk how thats gonna work, but i will look into it all......

You may want to check with your HR department.  Some companies have FMLA run in conjunction with short term sick leave.

I used my short term sick leave which is dif from our fmla. Each year i start out with 120 vac  hrs 5 of them are sick days. Once thosr are used it goes to fmla for us who gets it dr approved. Fmla for us is unpaid excused days. Ive never had to use it tho

  Didn't u use it all up after surgery? U only get so much, once it is used, u have to work 1250 hours in the next rolling 12 months b4 u r eligible again.

I plan on doin as little as possible at work from now on. I refuse to hurt myself. And selma i will def be applyin for fmla. God knows im goin to need it. Dont know how im gonna manage tho, i cant even look down long enough to clean my dogs kennel. Not gonna be good. Its 9 hr shifts on feet movin all day, but like i said i will only work at my own pace, not theres. Thank you all for listening. My chiarian family understands.
