thrush?

Not sure if this is what I have but my tounge is all white and almost feels swollen. I have a very phglemy cough and it hurts to swallow. Could this be from surgery? Also could the pain pills be doing it? I am on 5mg oxycodone. I am taking 2 every 6 hours instead of 3hours and 5 mg vallium every 6 hours. I also haven't had a cigarette since the day before my surgery (yay me) which could also be contributing to it I guess?

These are   the symptoms of thrush....my roommate had it almost right away while still in the hospital.

Trush can be the result of meds ...most likely antibiotics, but also a scratch from being intubated....

Tell ur Dr asap about this as  it can get worse if it is in fact thrush.

It could be the Meds that is causing these symptoms, I know that if I take Antibiotics or drugs that cause dry mouth I have problems like you describe.
Well done on the cigarettes, I have tried in the past (still smoking) and it is not easy to quit but it will get easy with each day that passes and you will feel much better for it, remember that when you get a craving it will not last so be strong :)
