CPAP after surgery?

I’m having surgery tomorrow and i use a CPAP, will the nurses work with me to find a way to use my mask that won’t put too much pressure on the incision?

Good luck with your surgery! As I am writing this you may well be under way.

I am sure the nurses will do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable. I am sure I had moderate sleep apnea (and a bad snoring problem) before I had my surgery. I would wake up several times a night gasping for air and the snoring, according to my wife was otherworldly.

Since my surgery I haven't snored or had any gasping for air episodes. I am interested to see if you have similar results. Please do keep us informed when you can : ).

Hi.....first, good luck with ur surgery....goodness, it comes up soooooo quickly.

Well, I believe there may be a way to attach it so it does not overlap ur incision.....placing the strap higher on the head...ect....?

It will also depend on the NS and how large an incision he will make.....they all will do this a little differently and many times not just cuz they have their own style, but bcuz of the needs of the patient ....type of surgery and what needs to be done inside...ect....

Sending Prayers ur way

PS- Please have someone update us on ur progress : )
