vacation....swimming???

hey everyone...i was wondering, im going on vacation in a couple days and i was wondering if i could swim and stuff like would that make my headaches worse and what about water slides??

Oic...a baby shower...how nice.

Use the handicap card....u deff need it in a big airport like down in TX......I did that on my last flight...could not have made it without the help.

Plus, even if I was able to walk fast enuff to make the connecting flight, I still had the brain fog and with the airports so big and loud...I get easily confused.....so the help takes u right where u need to be...very quickly too : )

i love, and i mean LOVE target!  best store in the world!!  my josh likes target too...he doesn't mind shopping....(please read that as Josh goes wherever Janet makes him go, and complains the entire time!)

i'm going alone on this trip.  my dad was just there and came back tuesday night.  i'm going down for my sister in laws baby shower, and he isn't too interested in that!   my dad is going back to texas labor day weekend, while i'll probably head back down there a week or so before him.

i'm nervous about flying, but we got it set up to get me help switching planes both ways!

i tired on my bathing suit that ties around the neck the other night.  didn't hurt at all, until i moved my head.  already looked at target, and they don't have anything that goes over the shoulders, so my mission for today is to find a bathing suit top that works.

i went to target last night and they didn't have any, and josh looked at walmart, but he said they didn't have any either.  i guess now i have to goto the mall and hope i don't end up just having to buy a sports bra!!

i get in dallas at 11pm tomorrow night.  my brother and i are planning on a midnight swim at his house!

I didn't even give that a thought....I have to lok for a suit to fit and will keep that in mind.

I know u will enjoy spending time with ur mom....I hope u r able to keep in touch during ur trip.

Trust me, I'll have a blast, but no diving, just floating!  (If I can ever find a bathing suit that DOESN"T tie around my neck, I'll be set!

I'm going to Texas next week, (had 2nd Chiari surgery May 27th) and I plan on going swimming EVERY day.  Even if swimming does involve just getting in the water and walking around!

Hi Elle,

I think u should be ok to get into a pool....no jumping or diving....and I would say no slides.

The more u do that could lead to a bump or fall u can run the risk of making ur herniation and symptoms worse.

I do hope u have a fun and safe vacation!
