2.5 yr old grand daughter w behavior issues

Hello all,

I am new to this forum and have been a parent for 22 yrs.  I have however come across something I never dealt with personally and need to ask.  My grand daughter is 2.5 yrs old now, both she and her mom who is 19 live with us.  Torri is acting out so aggressively it is really scaring us.  She is throwing temper tantrums where she is hitting, biting, scratching and pulling out her own hair.  How do I put a stop to this?  She also doesnt go to sleep in a bed on her own, We have spent the last 3 weeks up all night basically, putting her back in her bed.  She screams bloody murder, crying and begging us to let her sleep with us.  How do we fix this?

Maybe anxiety, maybe something else...

Does she follow directions ok? Do you understand what causes tantrums? Try to figure ouot what is she trying to accomplish with these behaviors

Could it be possible that your granddaughter is scared?  Don't know of what but her tantrums, pulling of hair and not sleeping in her own bed are examples of a child in fear or terror.  Perhaps others may have additional suggestions ....
