I understand your pain. Our 6-yr old has suddenly started waking up terrified at night. He has always been a good sleeper, but ever since he saw (inadvertently) a scary arcade game he is waking everyone in our house.....Ugh!...Are you able to spend some one-on-one time with your daughter prior to bed time? Maybe reading books, doing a puzzle something fun? Has your schedule been more hectic lately? My son definately gets upset when we don't get "special" time together.

Nothing in our househod has changed. I do try to spend some time with her prior to bedtime and she always falls asleep easily. She is to the point where she doesn't want to spend the night at anyones house (not even relatives) because she misses me. I just don't know what to do. I'm thinking that even though I may be sleep deprived I will just try to keep putting her back in her room and hope for the best.

Just wondering if you ever resolved the situation. Our 7 year old dtr comes into our bed everynight. If we try to walk her back, she'll cry and wake up her sister. (We also moved her sister into her room for company, to no avail). If we carry her back to her bed after she's fallen asleep, she'll come back into our bed about 2 hours later. Our 4 year old sleeps through the night in her own bed. What can we do about the 7 year old?
