Mr.Jrm, I'm a little concerned that a 12 year old, a 10 year old and a 5 year old will be left alone routinely during the night shift hours. I also am not sure I'd like to break down the modesty barrier a 5 year old boy has toward his 12 year old sister.
A 5 year old is completely capable of showering all by himself - he really doesn't need to be subjected to something he considers immodest.
But the bigger picture is I don't think that's a good idea to leave those three kids alone every night - is there some other way to handle this?
Best wishes.
I agree with specialmom, but I also kind of wonder if your daughters are not as kind to him during the bath time as they could be and he is reacting to that?
Hm. Well, would you be better served to go through a bath with him in which you teach him everything he needs to bathe himself. Rinsing hair when shampooed, washing with soap or wash cloth, using washcloth on face (which actually, his sisters could do AFTER his bath when he gets out and is dressed again), and drying off. Maybe get him a robe to slip in if you worry he isn't dry enough to dress.
But at 5, he can probably bathe himself and if he is more comfortable, I'd let him do that. good luck
