7yr. old pooping in pants

I have done everything I know to do!  I have disiplined, I have talked, I have taken him to the doctor for an exam, I have taken him to a Child Psychologist, I have taken away, I have made him earn stuff back, and nothing, AND I DO MEAN NOTHING I have done has helped.  He will be okay for a while and do good, and them BAMM here we go again poop central!  The Doctors say that he is fine and I am at my witts end!  I need help before I loose my mind about this!  He will do it at school, at a soccor game, at home, or anywhere!  I am down right at a loss for words, I have taked to him about sexual abuse and once again nothing!  He does on a rare occasion wet the bed at night but that is the rarest of rares.  I am intelligent but this has me puzzled!  What else is there to do?
Thanks,
Laura

I have read enough of the dr forums to know the answer to this one- and it's a DUH answer- they are not completely "trained"----all I gather from that is- you can't let your guard down in the sense that you have "forgotten about it" After meals- he has to sit on the toilet - be ready for accidents if there are dietary changes like extra fruit given.... les liquids after 7pm- one last trip to restroom before bed time.../ I am sure you remember it all- the other reason I HATE HATE HATE to bring up is that he is using it for control- the way to deal with that and find out though- isn't really that hard at all-

you have zero punishment and DO NOT get emotional- in any way- you say " Ahh, I guess you better get cleaned up then" in the same manner you might if he just dropped a few chips on the floor see?

Then again some kiddos just get so busy they feel as if they are just having gas, as RockRose said and it inadvertantly escapes thru no will of their own...... and I am sorry to tell you- a few adults even have this disability- and yes it interferes with work and they have to clean up and return to work and they don't care for it either....... bottom line- stay away from discipline - I can't imagine anyone wanting to do this....... encourage only.....

He has to bathe, clean the tub (be taught to) use the washer and dryer for his laundering after he has cleaned out his undies- then washed the sink well..... if he doesn't get everything clean-  just ask him to go back and clean it again- NO EMOTION- just like picking up chips you see? you will find out then if there is any control issue hiding beneath- I doubt it is that- it is for extremely bizarre cases I imagine

Doctors often say children who have no bowel control are "fine".  Normal children won't soil themselves - it's embarrassing,  and they get punished,  and it's incredibly gross.

To think that he is doing this on purpose is really not looking at the big picture,  unless he is cutting up the couch and keying your car.

It's most likely accidental.  Doctors for some reason don't always notice this.

Have you tied citrucel or metamucil,  or bran?  My guess is,  he has encopresis.
