Why doesn't mytwo year old grand daughter blink at all?

She is speech-delayed and is a true fit thrower, but I am worried about her inability to blink. I have watched her eyes since she was born. Light, fright or objects coming toward her do not force a blink.

She definitely needs to be seen by an ophthalmologist and maybe  a neurologist. Blinking is an involuntary action like breathing that in normal people happens when bright light or objects get into/near the eye. I do think she has to be blinking some or eyes would be dried, but having no reaction to stimuli could mean she is blind, has brain damage in area of brain wired to sight, or it could be epilepsy or aneurysm or stroke. It could be any number of things or nothing at all but she needs to be examined and evaluated  by specialists who can maybe get her diagnosed and treated quickly.

I agree with tenkng.  Has she ever had a regular well-check by a pediatrician?

She must obviously blink regularly,  or her eyeballs would have dried up and atrophied.

You need more information.  God bless.
