fear of wind

Hi, My 2 and a half year daughter has started fearing wind (even the lightest wind) badly. She does not let me open the balcony doors and not even the pedestial fan. She gets panic if i switch on the fan or if i stand in the balcony. The last time i tried diverting her mind and took her to balcony, she was calm until a slight wind blew and my scarf blew slightly. She just ran inside crying and panicly asked me to get inside and close the doors. She was not like this earlier and used to play very nicely outside. I also have this kind of fear sometimes but that is with heavy wind.
I am very very concerned and tensed, what to do. please if any one can help.

Hi..m so sorry for being so late in replying. anyways...abt my daughter ... .thank god she is absolutely fine now...all her scares are gone...touch wood!!

my suggestions for you on the base of my experience....
1. Don't Panic.....jst don't at all....it will pass on with time.
2. Don't force ur child to go in wind or whatever she is getting scared of..
just let her be inside for few days...away from any kind of wind or air.
3. slowly ..may be after 15-20 days start telling her that air is ur friend.
i made my daughter play with curtains and used to hide chocolates somewhere in curtain. i told her when the air will blow the curtain you will get chocolates.
it took around 3 months for my darling to come out of this...so keep patience....and trust me things will be fine.

i will again say..don't force the child into situations where she is getting scared.

Take care. give her love.

It will probably pass its not unusual for children to be afraid of nature, especially wind, and storms , make less of it sometimes the more one makes of an issue the more it becomes, as its getting attention.good luck
