my son is somewhat the same way, my son is very hiper active, he acts out, helps himself to things he shouldn't or we tell him he can't have, he dose hit me but he doesn't hit or throw things at my youngest. but your son sounds very smart. if your ped isn't helping you at all i suggest you go and see another on i agree with freesprit4life i think you should take him to see a speciallist it might help you there my son is 3 and he isn't potty trained yet when we go home from my fathers we will be starting it soon.

my nephew was very similar and go to find out he took speech classes and they helped him a lot his mom also found out from a specialist that he was autistic im not saying your son is Im just suggesting that a specialist may be a better venue if his doc isnt helping because he sounds very smart  also if he has been through any stress or trauma it can cause him to act out and the issue with him and the baby is he is jelouse he isnt getting the attention my daughter bit my ankle the other day because I was talking to my sister in law and wouldnt answer her anything to get your attention good or bad its attention I hope this helps a little

Why haven't you spoken to his pediatrician yet about this??? That should be your first move.  And keep the baby away from him if he's going to hurt her... at least until you can get this under control.  She's awfully young and being hurt like that can do some real damage.

Sounds like he's got a speech issue, like I said - ask your pediatrician- they may suggest a speech therapist.
