caitlynn21 gave you good advice- sounds like sensory processing disorder. the good news is that with proper therapies, many children learn to cope or are desensitized and can be successful in a regular classroom.

Sounds like to me he might have some sensory issues.  Look on the web about sensory procesing disorders and see if your child fits any of the symtoms.  http://www.spdbayarea.org/sensory_processing_disorder_checklist.htm
Even he he doesn't fit very many of the symtoms I would still get him checked out for anything else.  He will be starting school soon and if there is any kind of issues with him you will definetly want to get him therapy so that it will not hinder him when he does start.  It never hurts to ask questions when you have concerns with your child and get them help.  I didn't for a long time because I was in denial with him thinking that it was just his age, there nothing wrong with him that he wont grow out of. And now I am paying for it.  He is 4 and in daycare with alot of behavioral problems and about to get kicked out because of it.   But now my main concern is getting him where he needs to be before he goes to kindergarden where it counts more.
