Treatment for muscle pain

I have REALLY bad muscle pain this past month. It's the kind of burn you get (if we all think far back enough before getting sick and fatigued) when you work out for a long time--an endurance burn. But it's to the point it ignites over the smallest efforts: my arm is still cramped from manually juicing an orange, and my legs tend to burn with my basic range-of-motion exercises such as standing and lifting my straight leg forward a few times. Anything routine feels like its well above my fitness capacity and requires days of inactivity to get the tiniest amount of recovery.

So what's the next step for pain treatment when even the lightest exercise feels intense? OTC drugs don't help and if I ignore it my body decides to throw in the good ol' flu-like symptoms.

use massage

there are whats called trigger points the massage person looks for the small lumps of tight muscles causing pain look it up i cant describe good

WARNING trigger point hurts if you cant handle pain you may not want or be able to

because they find the knot and put all the weight possible while massaging them

i have heard screams when i go in the you have to drink lots of water only water it flushes the toxins released by the knots

there is inversion tables

shiatsu massage backrests i have one the wife hates it the balls going in a circle hurt her

there's tens units

meditation focus centering self hypnoses

if you control the mind you can control some pain

use bio freeze gel and bengay whatever works there are to many to count

get a heating pad

use ice

use braces they have compression clothes out now sometime pressure brings relief

soak in a tub of Epson salt try to get 100 degrees or more i think hot tubes are 130

the heat and Epson salt help me some a hot steamy shower

just search or ask most of us suffer from pain and have our own tricks feel free to personal contact me

good luck best wishes it does get better

I got my adrenals tested last February and they were very much in the middle of the reference range. My thyroid testing was frustrating because my TSH was middle range but my T4 was at the bottom and T3 bottom third. No positive antibodies for the thyroid. I've seen several doctors that are unwilling to try me on thyroid medication--so that's to be continued. Currently I'm trying a magnesium supplement. My next thought was to try to see if my underlying condition is a mitochondrial disease. That will be a while to find out (very few doctors and labs available). Also getting tested for autoimmune disease.

In the meantime, just lots of muscle/tendon pain (triggered from a bad episode of post-exertional malaise when my body decided suddenly it had a lower exercise threshold than where I've been at). The pain minimally responds to OTC pain killers.

Hi peregrination.

I'm not sure if your real intention with this post is to get suggestions for
treating your pain like with pain medications, or to get to the bottom of your issues, find out what is causing them and get it addressed.

My philosophy is :
"Treat the pain (with pain meds) and you might be good for the day.
Treat the underlying cause(s) and you might be good for life."

Look into:
---Insufficient thyroid regulation. You need Free T3, Free T4 and Reverse T3 testing and you must insist on these, even if you must pay.

---Low adrenal function. You need an Adrenal Stress Profile test (not conventional-you need an ND to order this for you)

--Low tissue Magnesium. You need a tissue analysis (not conventional)

-- High Tartaric Acid. You need to do a sugar and carbohydrate elimination
challenge for a few weeks. Tartaric acid is a malic acid antagonist and a known muscle toxin which feeds off yeast metabolites, which themselves  feed off carbs and sugars.
You may also try  organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar,
which is one of the top food sources for malic acid (vital for metabolic processes)

--- Low iron, ferritin, HGL, HCT. You need to rule out anything that may have to do with anemia, even if your doctors may consider it subclinical, it still can affect you dramatically. This goes for all labs, as all "normal" lab ranges
are based on statistical models.

Whether we like it or not, in conventional medicine, we are treated more as a statistic and less as an individual (to a great extend), and that is why   many patients with unresolved issues are kept in limbo.

There are other possibilities, but due to the limited information in your post,
I cannot comment any further.

Please note that my comments are not intended as a substitute for medical advice.

Best wishes.
Niko
