Afraid to give Cerenia

I gave my dog an anti-diarrhea medicine and thought she'd die - the next day (18 hours or so later) she finally wanted food/water/could get up.
I have been giving Fortiflaura and even put it on her tongue to help with diarrhea - I'm scared and don't know what to do. Sleeping on couch next to dog for months now - vet said there's nothing she could do.

creatinine was 7.1 - sorry - didn't understand difference between group/message - calcium hovering at 14.4, phosphorous keeps climbing - blood pressure has remained steadyd.d
I boil/grill chicken - desperate to get her to eat, - sometimes give steak - rice makes her have diarrhea- she won't touch it.
three years since diagnosed -
was giving three azodyl hour before eating breakfast, one before dinner
aluminum hydroxide - with meal (10 ml)
prilosec for acid
now added cerena - I had typed an extensive message to you

i think she'll be gone soon - internist wants "to make her comfortable" - as I messaged you - she was hospitalized in sept. for three days for fluids - shortly after, she was incontinent and had to recover from kennel cough. she did -- was battling staff infection in eyes - but eye dr. had her on massive doses of prednisone since march - kidney issues flared up after initial diagnoses a year ago - she went blind (SARD) saw eye dr. - back into hospital for a week with creatinine at 6.6. - they seem to focus on this number.
regular vet pushed euthanizing her back in Oct.
I'm at a loss.
At the end - not sure I should be forcing Aluminum down her throat - I've read about possible toxicity - the vet said that's only over long-term - the medicine for diarrhea caused terrible exhaustion/lack of food water became issue (metronodazole)

Yes, alum hydroxide is toxic, but your vet is right, it takes a long time to become a problem. More importantly, if phosphorus is rising, either you are feeding foods that are high in phosphorus (doubtful from your comments, but worth assessing) - or the alum hydroxide isn't doing what it needs to do. Calcium citrate and other forms of citrate actually help enhance alum hydroxide, as it improves how the dog's body uses it - it's worth raising this with your vet to see what they say.

More info needed please. What are the blood values for BUN, creatinine, phosphorus, calcium, potassium and white cells? What is the urine specific gravity results? What are you feeding (full details please)? Has a blood pressure check been undertaken? How long since first diagnosis of kidney disease? What medications are being given? How old is your dog? What symptoms are there?
