Dislocated Knee

I dislocated my left knee five weeks ago I saw my physio yesterday (Thursday) and he advised me to start using my leg more and trying to bend.  my carf, ankle and foot are now quite swollen, is this normal

Thanks for your reply still a bit swollen physio is telling me that i am not using it enough.

OUCH!Unfortunately,Yes. I would recommend elevating the knee when you are laying down not using it. Although swelling is normal, if it is painful and continues I would mention it to your PCP.
