cold flu or phemonia?

For 3 days I've had an itchy throat with a cough that brings up little mucas, sometimes a runny nose but doesn't last long. Mild headaches and itchy ears... only a few aches every now an then.. could this be phemonia or something else? I'm an 18 years old female

It does not sound like pneumonia to me. I believe you would have more symptoms besides the one's you listed. Some other symptoms might include:

Fever.
Fast breathing and feeling short of breath.
Shaking and or  "teeth-chattering" chills.
Chest pain that often feels worse when you cough or breathe in.
Fast heartbeat.
Feeling very tired or feeling very weak.
Nausea and vomiting.
Diarrhea.

With just what you listed I would say you just have a cold. Since pneumonia involves the lungs, you would have more symptoms dealing with the lungs.

The cough that you are experiencing is due to the itch throat.
What you have is a cold, may be pharyngitis.

The best thing to do is to keep warm, drink plenty of warm drinks (avoiding mild products), and take pain relief as and when required as prescribed on the packet.

You can also do steam inhalations 4 times each day for a duration for 10 minutes each time.  In a bowl pour in a kettleful of boiling water taking care not to get scalded.  Put in some Vick or olbas oil.  Cover your head and the bowl with a towel and breathe in the steam through your nose and out through your mouth.

When you go out into the cold, wrap up warm and cover your mouth and nose with a scarf so that you do not breathe in the cold air.

Should the be no improvement after a few days, or your symptoms get worse or mucus streaked with blood, then do make an appointment to see your doctor.

The doctor will only prescribe antibiotics if you have a bacterial infection.  Antibiotics will not work if you have a viral infection.  If your itchy ears don't settle or get worse, then make an appointment to see your doctor as you may require an antibiotic ear spray.
