Actually Dudley will be replacing Hayward, but not until this spill is stopped. Hayward is to own this one until it is plugged, then he will be replaced.
I am not blaming anyone other than BP for this mess but it sure would have made a good impression on us here in Louisiana if the people of England had protested his presence.

Shelby: BP CEO Hayward should step down
Going to an English yacht race while oil poured into the Gulf of Mexico was "the height of stupidity" and BP CEO Tony Hayward should step down, Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) said Sunday.
"The fact that the [CEO] of BP had the gall, the arrogance, to go to a yacht race .. in England, while all of this was going on here, I thought what was the height of stupidity, and I believe myself that he should go," Shelby said on CBS's "Face the Nation." "I don’t see how he can represent a company in a crisis like BP and ignore what’s going on in the Gulf of Mexico."
Shelby was referring to Hayward's trip to a yacht race around England's Isle of Wight on Saturday. BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg is relieving Hayward of immediate responsibility for the Gulf spill and handing the reins to BP managing director Bob Dudley.
Interesting perspective. I doubt too many want to get their hands dirty.
Does anyone know which politicians that are running in November, are down in the Gulf helping clean up the oil?
yup it says that Bob Dudley has taken over, you wre right specialmom unless they changed it again ...
LOL, Who knows! It all changes from minute to minute. It will be interesting to see what they say next! Personally, I think he should be replaced, or maybe they are saving face and putting him into handling the PR instead of actual operations? This whole story gets more confusing by the minute. Who did your paper say is replacing him? Now I am interested! Off for another cup of joe and a doughnut!
So funny. Our paper had a big picture of his replacement and had it as a mini headline that he has been replaced. I haven't checked our paper------- maybe there is a retraction. Oh well . . . I tried to be newsworthy. I guess I'll just go back to making breakfast for the kids. LOL
Actually that is not true. (Our media).. Once that rumor got out, BP responded by saying that no, in fact H had the day off and would still be overseeing the operation, (in what capacity), I dont think anyone knows? Mixed messages there, as usual.
I read that this CEO stepped down from the Gulf oil spill operations starting this weekend and has been replaced. Maybe the new guy will do a better job.
Just caught it on the news I was out by 7 days its 62 days since it started ..
More to the point, do YOU? know what Obama was or was not doing for the last 60 something days? Or is it what you have heard he has or has not done? This particular post was about the CEO, who supposedly has had hands on all this time, I didnt realize I was supposed to defend Obama.
I already know Rush and Becks views, doesnt everyone?
oK so what has OBama been doing in the last 55 something days ?? do you know ..doubtful. it is our government should have taked over the containing of this oil spill.....
Thats nice. The people in the gulf states are trying to figure out how to live from day to day and pay their mortgage! Of course I don't think they can complain since they have had much time off lately.
