Your right about Iran allowing inspection. I too doubt they would make it easy. Hopefully both Palestine and Israel each make a little effort....I think it would go along way, know what I mean? It's like both gov't have drawn lines in the sand and are not willing to give an inch. I think things will heat up even further (if possible) before they get better (if they ever do). However, maybe this time things will go better...I sure hope so.
I doubt that Iran would allow an inspection but it's going to be interesting to say the least if theres a clash and who backs off ...I hear Israel is loosening the rules on what will get through to Gaza and more materials etc will be allowed in ...so perhaps they are making some effort to lessen the tension ..
I should add...when I speak of my support for a neutral stance, my concern is always for the people, not the gov'ts involved. I agree that Hammas is nothing less then a terrorist organization. I worry about the average citizen living there and of course the children.
I really think the best way to end this situation is to allow these ships to be inspected by a neutral party. The people of Gaza do deserve to be receive aide if needed (which does seem to be the case) and Israel absolutely deserves to be able to protect themselves against attacks. Personally I don't believe either party can be neutral...way too much history there. As for the US remaining neutral, at this point I am not certain they have much of a choice there. This is an exceedingly delicate situation. There are valid points on both sides. Yes, I do think that neutral inspection of these ships is the only way for a peaceful resolution.
