Oh but it's ok if you or OH goes off topic but not ok for others? The conversation I had was to Barb.
Ha, ha... (smirk;-)
Commenting on the original-post, and the tread, is one thing... let's start posting comments re: the poster!
Sorry, back on topic: pathetic, nut-job, extremist, blah, blah, blah...
The article is not about the poster. Stay on topic please.
Barb when the poster has spoken many times about how extreme Ryan is and how scary he is, the link is trying to be established.
Pathetic.
This guy is an extremist nut-job.
End of story.
I didn't really take it as a link to Romney/Ryan....... it does point out, how extreme some people are getting with their thoughts.
What's next? A pregnant woman trips and falls down, then has a miscarriage? She'll be considered a murderer?
I know the article uses the terms "intentionally" and "knowingly"; who's to say someone won't accuse that woman of "intentionally" tripping and falling down. When you look at the things some of these people are coming up with (like being able to "shut down" the body to keep from getting pregnant), It's really not too much of a stretch.
That's not to say that there aren't extremes on both sides.
Yes Barb I know that, my point was this article was posted to express views and try to link them or make you think about Romney/Ryan.
teko, do you need to know what all state legislatures are doing on the liberal side that are extreme? Because right here in NY, well NYC Bloomberg is getting extreme with some things and so is California.
Your comments is exactly what came to my mind when I read this. And it is running for office of the Senate here in the US. Add that to the other extreme thinkers running or in office across the nation and yes, you have to wonder how long it will be before this kind of thing is thought to be acceptable overall. This person is one voice among many extreme views that seem to be getting into office, and together across the states is where they will try to enact their extremism. When people are not paying attention. imo
All current events are allowed on this forum. They don't have to have anything to do with Romney/Ryan or Obama/Biden, or the upcoming election. In fact, they don't even have to political in nature -- simply current events that are widely reported on major media outlets, whether they be "liberal" or "conservative".
Oh come on now. We can post on any current event here. That's not very fair to say.
Point in posting this? This is about a state senate rep, nothing to do with Romney/Ryan or Obama/Biden.
There are countries where this is the law. Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and a host of others. Of course, in some of these countries unless the rape is witnessed by a male member of the women's family, she goes to jail (or is killed) for that too. See where I'm going with this? The absolute very type of tyranny against women the US has always stood up for is where this guy wants to take you.
Guys a nut. A radical, since we've used that word here recently.
