Yes, teko, you are right - this is something we would all pretty much agree on. Seems that all Washington does any more is add to the problems, not solve them.
The question is what exact steps should be taken to restore that public confidence and where people feel that there is over regulation and where funding is being misdirected. I am aware of some of this on a state and local level but on a national level things tend to be kept under wraps. I would say the influence of corporate lobbyists should end and any legislation reflect the will of the American public for a start though.
